Português Christmas Torchlight Procession and Boxing Day Bonfire
The torchlight procession will kick off in the late afternoon of Dec. 26, with the distribution of torches that will accompany participants along a scenic route through the surrounding nature. The route, characterized by easy and scenic sections of trail, winds through the hills surrounding San Donato Val di Comino, with the opportunity to admire the landscape illuminated by the torch lights.
The event will culminate with the arrival at the chosen spot for the traditional Boxing Day Bonfire, where a large fire will be lit, symbolically representing the light and warmth of the community. Around the bonfire, we will exchange merry Christmas greetings, sipping hot drinks and enjoying typical local products, all accompanied by the joy and serenity that only the mountains can give during these festive moments.
